Coldplay

So, Coldplay came to OKC in March of 2007. I went with my brother and it was amazing. It was the best concert I had ever been to. (There was not much competition as the only other concert I had been to was an Amy Grant Concert in like 1993.) That is not a diss to Amy Grant. I still know all the words to "Baby, baby". Anyway, I digress.
I was so excited to learn that Coldplay would return to OKC on July 10 of this year. July 10 is Mark's birthday, and mine is on the 9th, so what a great present! Sadly, they had to reschedule for November 16. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! They delivered - it was amazing. The best part was when the bank actually came and played on a 2nd level balcony in an effort to engage their fans who weren't able to afford the closer to the stage seats. We had a great time. If you ever get to see them live - DO IT.
On a related note, I wish I was a rock star.

Well, you are already a rock star. I can't believe you don't like Coldplay. I guess part of my loyalty to them is that they pay much respect to the Flaming Lips, who are from OKC. Mark and I are talking about coming out maybe January or February!
